Summary: The book, The Landry News by Andrew Clements was mainly about a girl named, Cara Landry who was going into 5th grade at Denton Elementary School. She ended up getting Mr. Larson, who was known as the worst teacher in the school because all he did was read his newspaper and drink his coffee. He didn't even bother to teach his class. Cara was a journalist and one day, she wrote an editorial about her lazy teacher and that's when everything changed. Mr. Larson finally got involved in teaching his class. He challenged the students to create a newspaper.  The whole class helped Cara with The Landry News and it advanced more and more each week. The principal, Dr. Barnes has been looking for a way to get rid of Mr. Larson.  He thinks this newspaper might be what he needs to do it, because if the newspapers have inappropriate articles for school, he could fire him. Dr. Barnes never liked Mr. Larson because he was different than all of the other teachers and he never taught his class. The students start to understand the significance of writing a newspaper, truth with mercy. Now Mr. Larson teaches the class about the First Amendment. Writing the newspaper can cost Mr. Larson his job as a teacher if the story about the divorce is inapproprite for school.

Answer:  She told them that about 15 years ago, Mr. Larson was Teacher of the year three years in a row.

Answer:  They learned a lot about the Ammendments to the Constitution and Freedom of the Press.

Answer: The moral is don't judge a book by it's cover. Another one is the truth can be honest and kind while not being rude.
